  • Wash your hands with warm water and soap for 2–3 minutes to improve circulation, keeping them below heart level to encourage natural blood flow.

  • Use the side of your middle or ring finger on your non-dominant hand for a smoother, more comfortable collection.

Step 2

Collect Your Sample


  • Press the sterile lancet firmly into the side of your fingertip to create a small, clean puncture.

  • Allow a large drop of blood to form naturally — avoid squeezing or “milking” the finger as this can affect sample quality.

  • Gently touch each circle on the card with the drop of blood, allowing it to soak through completely before moving to the next.

Step 3

Air-Dry Fully


  • Lay the card flat on a clean, dry surface for at least 3 hours, or overnight if preferred. Avoid direct sunlight, heat, or stacking to preserve sample quality.

  • Once the spots are completely dry, apply 2–5 drops of the NAD Fixing Buffer to the front of each spot and allow it to dry for 2–3 minutes.

  • Repeat on the back of each spot, applying 2–3 drops of the NAD Fixing Buffer and letting it dry for a further 2–3 minutes.

  • Once fully dry, place your card into the protective aluminium sleeve provided to prevent moisture or damage during transit.

  • Seal the aluminium sleeve securely and follow the mailing instructions included with your kit. Samples are sent directly to our certified lab, with secure tracking.
