How accurate is a selfie?
It reads seven visible signals — wrinkles, pores, blemishes, texture, redness, dark circles and under-eye condition — under guided lighting. It measures what is visible on the surface, and it compares each scan to your own previous ones rather than to a single ideal.
Does it work on all skin tones?
It’s built to. Signals are read relative to your own baseline rather than one reference complexion, and re-scans compare you to you. We’re continuing to validate across the full range, and we’ll publish what we find.
What does “skin age” actually mean?
An estimate of how your seven signals compare to typical patterns for different age groups — not a judgement, and not a medical measure. The number that matters is the direction it moves at your next scan.
How often should I re-scan?
As often as you like — it’s free. Meaningful change takes about two full skin cycles, so roughly every 90 days is when you’d expect the score to move.
What is the SkinIQ Coach?

They’re generated from your scan, then matched to the catalogue. The Coach also tells you when the answer isn’t a product — a change in sleep or sun habits, or a conversation with a doctor — and says so when nothing suitable exists.
